When is the best time of the year to go to Disneyland (FL)?

  • Planning to go in 2008 with my then 4 year old daughter. I am looking for the best weather, least crowds, most economical time of the year.

  • Answer:

    Either late January/early February (NOT President's Day weekend... whenever that is) or late October early November. I live about 30 min from there and have annual passes... the parking lots are EMPTY those times of year. Plus, the weather is really really nice both of those times - much better than the hot summer, especially with a young child. During May you will get field trip groups and Thanksgiving is a horrible idea, speaking from experience.

During the month of May is the best time to go, because all of the kids are still in school, so it's not too crowded, but it's still summer weather and therefore a perfect time to be outside! Visiting the park on weekdays rather than weekends is a good idea too.

Go around Thanksgiving. That is before the Christmas break rush and the weather is still nice. Not cold and not hot. It is pretty much the perfect time.

Last time I was in at Disneyworld was at the end of October/Beg. November. The lines were really short there. The weather was fine, though there was a hurricane a couple weeks before. The parks closed a few hours earlier, but the lines were so short we still got to do everything. Some of the water parks were closed though. I would avoid holidays if possible though many people probably still show up for week long vacations year round. Disneyland Anaheim is especially bad on holidays and weekends.
