  Two options: 1. Most expensive, but by far most quick and comfortable: Take a New Jersey Transit train from Morristown station to Newark Broad Street station, then a ten-minute ride on Newark's light rail system to Newark Penn Station (the light rail adjoins both station), then Amtrak from Newark to DC. Will take about 3.5 hours and cost about $70. 2. Cheapest, but slower and less comfortable: Take a New Jersey Transit train from Morristown station to New York Penn Station*, then Megabus or Bolt Bus from the specified street stop next to Penn Station to DC nonstop. Will take about 6 hours and cost about $20. All services involved run at least every two hours; the Morristown to Newark/New York train and the Newark light rail significantly more frequently than that. * All Morristown trains serve Newark Broad Street, but after that a minority of rush hour trains continue to Hoboken, not New York Penn Station (the conductor will inform you of this). In this case, it is best to alight at Newark Broad Street, and wait for the next train 5-10 minutes later, which will continue to New York Penn Station.
