What are some of the major attractions in P.E.I?

Top 10 attractions to visit in DC?

  • HI, My friend moved to Reston VA recently. He wants to know what are the top 10 attractions in DC. Please tell the top 10 attractions in DC and what will be cost to visit each attraction? Can the car be parked anywhere in DC near the attractions for free? Or What the charge for Car parking in DC? Can I go to all the attractions by Car or do I need to take a BUS? Are there any free attractions in DC? Please help and guide.

  • Answer:

    1. The Smithsonian-all of it & its free & on the metro. Some special shows/exhibits may have minimal fees. (My fav is air and space). 2. The monuments on the national mall (free & on the metro), Jefferson Memorial (limited parking)-you should visit Jefferson & Lincoln in the day & at night. 3. The Kennedy Center-free to enter & free stage at 6pm daily. Other performances at varying costs (sometimes as low as 15 or 20). Advanced tickets are usually required, they have a website for that. There is a paid parking garage. 4. Georgetown and/or old town alexandria for shopping. There is also a nice artist gallery in Old town. Both have on street parking and some paid garages. 5. The pentagon-limited free tours and on the metro line 6. Arlington Cemetary-free & on the metro line 7. The Whitehouse-not sure if there is a fee for the tour, also on the metro. 8. The Supreme Court & the Capitol-depending on if they are in session or out access to view the buildings varies, both are free and on the metro 9. The national archives and the navy memorial-both free and on the metro 10. The national zoo-its free & on the busline, there is also parking which may involve a fee If you can take the metro, don't drive and park. Metro is much easier then dealing with parking.

This question comes up alot, there is so much. In terms of popularity, cover the museums on and around the mall. You'll get fliers and brochures that will lead to more.... Most if free, avoid a car at all cost. You can get daily parking for less than $20

There are so many attractions in Washington D.C.! The Smithsonian museums: - American History - Natural History - Air & Space - Art Museum - Washington Monument - Jefferson Memorial - Lincoln Memorial The War Memorials (WWII, Korean, etc.) They have a nice aquarium as well. Those are the main ones. You should be able to walk to all of those places. They aren't far away at all.
