What is the weather usually like in Washington, DC the first week in March?

  • Hello! I am visiting DC the first week in March and I am wondering does it usaully snow? How is the weather?

    Hey there. having gone to college in DC now for 3 years, DC will get maybe one good snow storm (6 inches or more) in a winter season, i would not expect snow for your trip. The first week of march can be very nice here, 50's....but sometimes its a little cooler. I woulden't pack shorts, but i doubt your going to need all of your winter items.

in my opinion it's not snow that would be in big bear where it's elevated and elevation makes it colder than if your close to the north pole depending on how much elevation and distance to the north pole there is obviously.

the marine corps marathon is held then, and often, the weather is spring-like, and cherry blossoms are coming out. it can be cold, though, too. you'll have to be prepared for anything.

you can get snow until april but most of the time spring hits up half way through march.
