Where should my family go for spring break?

Where should my family go for spring break around the chesapeke?

  • for spring break, instead of spending lots of money on airfare to a fab place, were buying a (much needed) new car and were gonna drive somewhere "cool". i was thinking it would be cool to go somewhere coastal , or around the chesapeke bay. although it might not be warm enough to swim, it would just be fun to have the whole family. preferably within a two hour drive from university of maryland(DC) so my brother can take a few days off from college. we're from philly so not more than 4 hours from there

One of the towns you might consider is Saint Michaels. The town itself is charming with shops and restaurants that are delightful. You can stay in a B & B right in town, or at Harbourtowne Resort with waterfront views that will leave you breathless. You can even rent a darling little restored "captain's cottage" within a short walk of the harbor. Visit the Maritime Museum, go out on a Skipjack for the day and enjoy a champagne brunch or catch the sunset over the Miles River from the harbor. Beautiful. You can fish, crab, be pampered in one of several spas, go sightseeing and shop for unique gifts or play golf or tennis to your heart's delight. It will probably be pretty chilly, so ask for a rental with a fireplace. Rehoboth and Bethany Beaches are only about 1.5 hours from St. Michaels, so you could even go to the Ocean for the day. You can take the Oxford Bellvue Ferry, visit historic Easton and Tilghman Island. It is such a beautiful area. You are very likely to return. Check out the website and see what you think.

Spring break from what? Don't tell me you're in college or something. There's not a single capital letter forming a new sentence in anything you typed. Oh, let me guess. You're an English major!

I don't know how far you are from Va. Beach but it's really nice here.
