What's a good place for a float trip?

Where is the best place to do a float trip near St. Louis, MO?

  • I live in South City. We're not camping, and I don't need to rent tubes as we own our own, but we'll only have one car. So we will need a ride back to the drop-off point, so I want to go with a company. I would like as long a float as possible (say 6-7 hours). I'd like pretty scenery, but I don't want to travel any more than necessary. In the past, I think its been a little more than an hour and a half, which is fine, but if there's something closer, I'd love to know.
