Has anyone ever stayed at the Cabins?

  • at Garrisons river resort, in Steelville Missouri? if so how did you like them and was the resort nice? Or does anyone know of any nice small cabins along the Merimac or current river areas....?

    Another place in Steelville that has cabins is Bass resort. We've made many stays at Garrisons but usually camped either in tents or an RV. Our experiences have been mixed depending on who the other campers are. It's pretty much usually a family resort and they do try to get people to hold down the noise after 11 PM. They have a pool and horses to ride which some other resorts dont have. My biggest complaint used to be disgusting bathrooms which we solved when we got an RV. During the summer all the outfiters will be crowded with floaters and most of the cabins are pretty basic. Dont expect luxury and you wont be disappointed. Its only for a short time and you wont be spending much time inside anyway.

There are several places along the way where you can rent cabins. I usually go to the Rafting Company, but the last float trip I went on we all went to Indians Springs Resort, and they have very nice lodging. Both are in Steelville. Have a good time!
