Places to eat and fun attractions in St. Louis?
-
Hello, my girlfriend and I are going to St. Louis for my birthday to see the Giants play the Rams and we wanted to know what there was to do and where there is to eat in St. Louis We have the whole day Saturday and most of Friday to do things, one stop of course is the Arch. But what other attractions are there in St. Louis? What are some fun places to shop and what kind of Museums are there in St. Louis? Someone told me about a Beatles shop in St. Louis, where would that be if its still around? We plan to stop at the Crown Candy Kitchen and Gus' pretzels, but where can we eat a good meal (any type of food)? What are some of the better (and more affordable if possible) steak houses? Is there a food that St. Louis is known for, ala KC and their ribs? What are some fun night time activites too, we'll both be 21 by then so what are some of the nicer/up scale and more popular bars in St. Louis? Feel free to add anything else, and thank you

Answer:
We have a free zoo, art museum, history museum, science museum. We have a fun city museum and a botanical garden but both charge an admission fee. Fun shopping is the Delmar Loop which has lots of little shops including ones for vintage clothes and music. In the loop is Blueberry hill and Fitz Root Beer which is made right there. If you like Italian you want to try some of the good restaurants on the Hill such as Ammigettis bakery, Tratoria Lorenzo, Cunettos etc. Be sure to get toasted ravioli for an appetizer which is a St. Louis thing. Also you want to try Imos Pizza (thin crust with provel cheese) and Ted Drews Frozen Custard concretes. Be sure to take a brewery tour and get free samples. One of my favorite places for steaks is Tuckers in Soulard and they have a great Irish bar McGurks right down the street. There are other steak houses but they tend to be more expensive. If you are downtown you might want to try the clubs on the Landing or on Washington Ave for fun at night. There is also the Lumiere Casino on the landing and they have bars and restaurants there too.

UNION STATION! Its good for night and day. It has alot of shops where u can get souviners. But it has a food court and everything. Like it has a resturant too. Also you can go to the Science Center. It's kind of for the younger, but its still really great for all ages. -Ash.
