Do you know any good places to watch fireworks?

Does anyone know of any places that sell fireworks in St. Louis? Preferabbly close to Clayton/Ladue area? Thx!

  • So as you all probably know, July 4th is this Friday. I want to get some fireworks for my family so I can set little ones off at home, not the HUGE big ones. Does anyone know of any places that I could be able to find some? It would be nice if it was close to Clayton/Ladue/Olivette

  • Answer:

You have to go to Jefferson or Franklin county. Take I-44 west of 270 to the Eureka exit or the Pacific exit. That is the closest to you.

You could drive down I-44 past Six Flags to the fireworks places in Pacific. Also, during this time of year, there are tons of fireworks tents set up in St. Charles. There's one at practically every exit off of I-70. Go west on 70 and get off at Fifth St. I guarantee there will be one in the Comfort Inn's parking lot and in the Bass Pro Shop's Parking lot. There's also one at I-70 and Cave Springs across the street from the Motel 6. There's also one at Hwy. 370 and Hwy. 94 behind the Hardees.

If “home” is within St. Louis county, what you have proposed is completely illegal and if you live in the areas you mentioned, I can promise you your neighbors will call the cops.

I believe you can get fire works in St. Charles. Just on the other side of the river off highway 70. There is also a wonderful firework display in St. Charles down off the river on Friday evening. There is not nearly as many people there as you would find in St. Louis and they have a wonderful firework show that lasts a pretty long time. Long enough to just start thinking....is it about over. I would highly recommend that instead of buying little ones for your house. Plus isn't it illegal to set off fireworks in St. Louis county? Save your money and head to St. Charles for their display!

Last year we bought fireworks at Molly Browns right on the edge of the jefferson county border, it was only about a 20min drive down 44. We brought them back and set them off in an apartment complex right off of 170 and Delmar, the cops eventually came after about an hour and hold us not to shoot anything in the sky but that we were fine unless someone in the complex complained. He was very nice about it, and never did come back. I would recommend being careful, and making sure where you are shoot them off is "fireworks friendly" before hand. Hope you ahve a great 4th of July, fireworks or not!

You mean you haven't seen one of the ten million places that sell them along I-70? They have specials, like "buy one, get four free". They are everywhere...mostly in big tents in the parking lots of strip malls, and the like...there's one in St. Charles, right near the Zumbehl exit. To the west.
