What do you guys think are my chances of getting into university of washington in seattle next year? im currently a junior here is what my grades look like in my school 80-84 is a C+, 85-89 is B, 90-93 is B+, 93-100 is an A. and ive taken all honors and AP courses Spanish 1: A, Algebra 1 Honors: A 9th grade: Spanish 2: B+, Geometry Honors B+, English 9 Honors: B+, World history honors: A, Biology honors B+ 10th grade: spanish 3: A, algebra ii honors: B+, AP world history: B+, English 10 honors: A, Chemistry Honors B+ 11th grade: spanish 4: A, precalc honors B, AP language B+, AP chemistry B, AP US history: A EC: ive done online internships with NASA during the school year as a junior (tons of work), 2 time regional science fair got 3rd place once, varsity indoor track and field since freshmen will get 4 varsity letters, outdoor track and field 3 varsity letters, qualified for districts and regionals track and field, set and broke school records for track, vice president and secretary for science clubs, vice pres for histroy club, honor societies, high school soccer, cross country ,volunteered at hospitals, soup kitchens etc SAT: CR 680, MATH 710, Writing: 700 and i should have a solid essay and very good recommendations? im a bit worried by my gpa is it kind of low? i just showed my academic courses grades cause thats wat univ of wash wants and johnshopkins. but my overall weighted GPA is 4.07. im an out of state student. i live on the east coast 1 hour ago - 4 days left to answer. and im taking SAT again and should get around 2150 and around like 300 hours of volunteering

  I do know that University of Washington is highly competitive when it comes to accepting out-of-state students. The last I knew, they only accept about 10-12% of the out-of-state applicants that apply. I have to warn you, they've cut back on the number of students they are accepting due to budget cuts. Also, the tuition is expected to raise significantly for the 2010-2011 school year, and they only give financial aid to about 60% of the student body -- so you better have deep pockets or a scholarship of some kind. The out-of-state tuition is already about 4x higher at UW than the in-state tuition. I don't want to burst your bubble, but UW is highly competitive...so even with a great record like yours, there's no guarantee.
