You don't mention how old your kids are, but here are some ideas: Go west to nearby Edmonds or Mukilteo. Both have a beach and a ferry, festivals and farmer's markets. You can go beachcombing or take a ride on the ferry. Mukilteo also has a lighthouse that is open for tours if you are visiting during the summer months: http://www.squidoo.com/mukilteo-lighthouse If the kids are old enough they might enjoy a tour of the Boeing Plant or the Flying Heritage Museum. Most people will tell you that the most fun thing to do in Lynnwood is to go to Seattle. True story: The city of Lynnwood did a survey a few years ago and asked the people living in Lynnwood what they liked to do to have fun and a majority said "go to Seattle!" It is easy to get to Seattle from the Lynnwood Transit Center. The Sound Transit Bus #511 runs into Seattle and back to Lynnwood all day about every half hour. http://www.soundtransit.org/prebuilt/tpplanner.asp Seattle has lots of fun things to do for people of all ages. The Pike Place Market is the top attraction: http://www.squidoo.com/Seattle-Pike-Place-Market The waterfront in Seattle is just down a flight of stairs from the Pike Place Market - lots of things to see and do including the Aquarium, and Ye Olde Curiosity Shop. The Seattle Center has the Space Needle, EMP/SciFi Museum, Pacific Science Center with lots of hands-on exhibits for kids and the Seattle Children's Museum: http://www.squidoo.com/quiz-how-much-do-you-know-about-seattle- The Ballard Locks and nearby Discovery Park are also great free places to take kids: http://www.squidoo.com/seattle-ballard-locks If you are visiting in the summer, you might want to consider a trip to the San Juan Islands: http://www.squidoo.com/San_Juan_Island I hope that gives you some ideas.

go to seattle, lynwood sucks kinda broing its a suburb only thing there is a mall, if you want you should drive away from the city only like 20 minutes out and enjoy the beautiful landscape of washington, you can go to the sound in edmonds which is next to lynwood and take the ferry, ask your dad im sure he will know... mostly stuff outdoors

This is to be expected I guess but the Space Needls has to be done. The Music experience near there was ok but nothing out of this world! Pike Place Market is cool too, go to the fish stall where they throw the fish around - I liked it there!
