Are girls in the PNW different from girls in the south?

I'm not a guy, but I've lived in the Pacific Northwest my whole life. And I would say everyones different. But compared to the southern girls, I would just say we aren't as flashy. But to speak for everyone, I would say we are more friendly and down to earth compared to let's say the girls in southern California. It is more outdoorsy here(There aren't as many obese people because of that reason) I would say a lot of girls are more sporty here(We love our North Face & Helly Hansen Jackets!). But I don't agree when people say we don't love to dress up, maybe we don't dress up as much as the women in California or New York City, but to speak for myself and many other young women in Seattle(King County Area) We love looking put together and dressing up, especially myself, I'm not that casual at all. I mean I don't wear a lot of makeup, but I love taking pride in myself and wearing nice clothes and so do most young women from the age 18-25 around here. There are some fake/flashy/mean girls around here but not a lot. I think that people stereotype things way too much, everywhere people are pretty much the same, it just depends on the crowd and the people you end up meeting or hang out with. I don't know! Oh they are different all right, Seattle women by default are aloof, fickle and more hairtrigger about everything and nothing all at once. Prepare to never let your charm/skills/game/charisma take a break for a split second lest their favorable opinion of you crumbles in their twitchy little minds, they will expect the creme de la creme from you and give you crumbs in return. They think they can spend their entire lives in flip flops, weather and social setting be damned. Don't count on them to dress the part when you have plans to take them someplace nice, ever. To make up for our lengthy gray/rainy season, many REALLY overdo the tanning booths giving them the complexion of a paper grocery bag or cardboard box (which for some racial/ethnic groups is perfectly fine, but on a white girl looks pretty damm weird, ok?) and best of all you will have to look far and wide for one without some weirdo tattoos or piercings.

Women in Pacific Northwest tend to be less traditional than our Southern sisters. We are usually better educated, more professional and less concerned with gender roles. We’re outdoorsy, we’re earth-friendly and generally speaking, more healthy. Women in the PNW have high standards because we hold ourselves accountable to high standards. What may seem ‘aloof’ and ‘fickle’ to some is nothing more or less than knowing what we're worth and not accepting anything less.
