I'm looking for a summer job, any ideas?

I live in Seattle WA, im 16 years old, and looking for a summer job, any ideas?

  • Answer:

If you like kids, work at a summer camp, or at an amusement park. If you like kids and sports, find a sports themed summer camp or be a lifeguard. If you like working with the public, grocery store or a soft serve ice cream stand.

Hmmm... well Seattle is the home of Starbucks, why not join "the fraternity of the green apron"? or like someone else suggested you could look into helping at a summer camp. Good luck!

Seasonal places make good summer jobs. One of my earliest jobs was at a touristy gift shop (not in Seattle though) and then there was no obligation to stay when the summer was up. I'd check tourist-type spots, particularly large establishments that would need lots of new employees. (Just a note on the Starbucks suggestion. It's a bit tricky. Especially for a summer job. the minimum age is 16, but I know my manager gives preference to older applicants. It took me the whole length of a summer just to get the hang of the job. I'd 100% recommend it if you're looking for something more long term. Like to get through college, though.)
