Moving to the Middle East?

I am moving to the seattle area soon and need to know some good middle class suburbs?

  • i will be moving to the seattle area in a few months. i want to live in a suburb of seattle. middle class area not too heavily populated. sort of a small to middle sized town. i am not real picky, just want a decent area to move to and rent a home until i can find a place to buy later on. can you please give me some suggestions so i will have a starting point? thanks, david

If you haven't done so already I would secure a job before you move. You will want to consider where you will be working when you search for a place to live. Commuting in the Seattle area is pretty bad so if your job is north of Seattle, you won't want to live in an area that is south of Seattle unless you are willing to spend 4 hours a day commuting. If you find a job more or less near the center of Seattle you could look in either direction. If your job will be to the north, I would take in the area around Edmonds: http://www.squidoo.com/edmondswa and Mukilteo: http://www.squidoo.com/mukilteo-lighthouse If you will be working more toward the south of Seattle, consider Renton: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renton,_Washington The towns to the east of Seattle (the "eastside") are generally more expensive and tend to have a longer commute time if you will be working in Seattle. The eastside communities are connected to Seattle by 2 long bridges across Lake Washington and if either has an accident the traffic can really get tied up and commute time can get really ugly. If your job will be on the eastside you could look at Woodinville: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woodinville,_Washington Redmond: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redmond,_Washington or Issaquah: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Issaquah

Auburn, Kent, federal-way, Renton, Kirkland, Bellevue (a bit more expensive than others, but one of the best towns in America to start a family, or career etc.)
