What is the average rainfall in Washington state?

Which U.S.town in Washington state has the highest annual rainfall ?

  • I have heard of a small town in Washington that supposedly receives more rainfall than any other place in the US, name unknown to me.

  • Answer:

I couldn't tell you for sure, but the Quinalt Rain Forest on the west side of the state gets about 150 inches of rain a year. The nearest town to them is Quinalt, so that's my best educated guess. HTH!

Any town on the west side of the Olympic Peninsula (There's not many). It's the only rain forest in the continental US.

I think it is Port Orchard, WA. However, I heard that the island of Kauai in Hawaii gets the most rain annually of any place in the 50 states. I think its like 300 inches a year!
