Is Washington state a good place to live?
-
I'm a college freshman in North Alabama. I don't like where I live. I'm studying to become and optometrist and after I graduate I don't want to settle down in Alabama. I was looking for other states I might like to live in. So far, I really like everything I've heard about Washington. I love cool, rainy weather and it seems Washington has plenty of that. I love the outdoors, so I would like to live in a woodsy area, but I also like to visit the city every once in awhile. I would love to hear others' opinions on the state of Washington. I would also love suggestions on cities to look at living in.

I live in Spokane and explore this state every chance I get. Though finding work is tough, I find the state to be an amazing and beautiful place to live. I love all the parts of Washington and could easily live in any of them. There is a website called experiencewashington.com. It is a wonderful tourism website if you decide to come explore us. It is amazing what you can find to do even within a half hour of any of the big cities. Come on out and check us out!!

The Greater Washington, D.C. area is full of attractions for all ages. Brimming with treasures from American history and a multitude of attractions, the District of Columbia is among the worlds easiest metropolitan areas to navigate. DC is like a large suburb. You have the cultural aspect that comes with a city in the way of theatre, opera, etc... at the kennedy Center. Additionally, you have more free museums in Washington, DC than in any other US city. You can either drive everywhere or take public transportation. And because of the restrictions per the height of buildings it won't feel like your typical "city." There are plenty of actual houses on the market if you want to live in a city, but in a house instead of a condo/apt. The city has a professional team for every sport.
