Which would be better Portland,or Seattle or cali?

How is life in Seattle? Is it better? Do you prefer it to Atl, Ny, Chicago, Miami, Cali?

  • I'm moving to Seattle from Atlanta. I have no idea how the opportunities, life, jobs, people are in Seattle. Do you think it's better to live there? I heard it's cold and rainy. Does that affect the living ? How are the work environment, economy and all? All answers will be appreciated.

    It IS cold and rainy. If you're used to decent weather and lots of sunshine, you're honestly not going to like it. There's more gloomy weather days than you can count and you walk around in clothes that are always damp. When the sun is out, EVERYONE is out and about. Jobs aren't easy to find...but where are they easy to find these days? I know people in my area who recall living in Seattle as one of the worst times in their life! I'm sorry to say it, but if you can get out of moving there, you might want to try. I have immediate family that moved to Seattle from the east coast.... they're absolutely miserable. They're a married couple who had to go back to living with roommates because they can't afford the rent on their own! So sad!

Seattle's a pretty nice place to live. It can be expensive, and unless you don't have a job set up it'll be hard to find one right away. The people are friendly, for the most part. It really depends on the weather. The cold and the rain does affect the living. It affects what you wear, where you go, how long you're out, what you do during the day. Lately it hasn't been too rainy, but it'll probably rain sometime soon. Overall, I like living here. :]

My big brother was born and raised up in Port Angeles, WA he says it's horrible up there. So he moved down here to Sunny Southern, California! He couldnt hang so he went back. Lol California is the best place besides New York.
