Are Chinchillas illegal in Alaska?

Flying from Burbank,CA to Seattle would you choose Southwest or alaska air?

  • In april I'm planning on flying from burbank,ca to seattle,wa. I can either go southwest with one stop and/or change planes or alaska air non-stop. there are pros and cons to both. Southwest is flexible with cancellations if you are unable to go or need tochange your flight. Alaska air tickets are non-refundalbe and non changable. Southwest will allow two free pieces of luggage checked for free. Alaska air charges $25 for each piece of chekced luggage. Unfortunatley I will need to check a piece of luggage. The price for the alaska air non-stop verses southwest flight with a stop is the same price. If you add an extra $25 for my checked piece of luggage alaska is more expensive. I have flown both southwest and alaska to portland, oregon. I don't have a problem with either airline. Unfortunaltey I have some snobby friends who refuse to fly southwest. Which option is better?

  • Answer:

I always prefer a non-stop flight over a stop any day. Call me snobby if you want, but I've avoided Southwest for years - I hate their "cattle car" boarding. It feels like Black Friday at Wal-Mart. I like to pick my seat in advance instead of feeling like I have to trample over people to be able to ensure a seat with my travel companions and I don't want to pay extra so we can board earlier to get seats together.

No question = the nonstop option. I'm not snotty... I just would never add extra time by doing a stopover or risk getting stuck, if I didn't need to. Southwest if you are purchasing the "anytime fare" is fully refundable. There is a change fee. The "anytime fare" is usually more than twice as much as the regular fare. The regular fare is NOT refundable Alaskan Airlines also has fully refundable fares and just like Southwest you have to $$$ for them. Both Airlines will allow you change any ticket for a change fee and the difference in ticket cost. You need to book another flight with the airline within 365 days.

Alaska!!!!!!! They fly non-stop from burbank to Seattle, as you already mentioned. A nonstop flight outweighs everything else. Everything. Airlines can ruin your stopover in so many ways, and ruin your trip. It could take you an extra day to get to your destination, and you can be stuck in a strange city. Do not take the risk since you have the opportunity to fly nonstop.

although Southwest is always more fun I would go with the non-stop flight.
