Is Mountain creek Water Park a good theme park?

Should I worry about mountain lions while hanging out alone at Steven's Creek County Park?

  • On occasion I like to grab a lunch and go to Steven's Creek County Park. There is a secluded spot by the creek that is a short walk from the road (Steven's Canyon road). Its nice to hang out there and enjoy my lunch in the serenity of the forest and creek. BUT...should I not go there alone due to the possibility of a mountain lion??

  • Answer:

You should be fine. It's not just parks that can get mountain lions... any suburban area close to open spaces can have mountain lions. Like the first answer said, though, lion attacks are VERY rare. Surely you've heard the cliche, "they are more afraid of you than you are of them." Mountain lions tend to stay away from humans, and only rarely attack, usually joggers or cyclists because they get confused and think they are a deer running away.

Mountain lion attacks are extremely rare. You're more likely to get into a fatal car accident driving to the park.
