Has anyone been to the King Tut exhibit?

Do I have to purchase tickets before going to the King Tut exhibit at the de Young museum in San Francisco?

  • My family and I are going to be in San Francisco this weekend, we would like to see the exhibit. Everything I am seeing directs me to ticketmaster to purchase tickets. Can I purchase tickets the day we want to go to the museum at the museum?I have called the number on the website and all I get is a recording, I can't actually speak to someone.

yea, you can purchase them at the museum. I went yesterday (free museum day) but i didn't see the exhibit, it was a bit expensive 25 per adult, and around 17 for kids. When you purchase the ticket, you'll get a small sticker, and it will give you access to all of the museum.
