Can anyone suggest a hotel at Yosemite?

I would have to go with Yosemite Lodge as well. It is clean and reasonably priced. As far as tent camping in Curry Village is concerned that would depend on what time of year you are going there. A number of years ago myself and 3 other friends were headed up that way in November and we had tent reservations. Well it was kind of cold that day, so we went to the office and asked if the had anything else. They said that they would be releasing more accomodations in a little bit because the people that had reserved them had not checked in. When it became our turn they had a three bedroom cabin, with a fire place, cable and kitchenette avalible it was running about $170.00 a night. That seemed a little rich for our blood. However right behind us in line was a couple from Germany. They were in the same boat as us. We turned around and asked them if they would be willing to share the cabin with us splitting the rent 6 ways. They went for it. That had to be one of the most memorable experiences I have ever had in Yosemite. We all had a great weekend. I will never forget the look on the Germans guys face when he went out to his car and came back in less that 10 seconds because there was a bear outside the cabin. It was priceless. We got to share a little bit of our culture with them and the turn was exchanged likewise. I have lived in California all my life (50 years) and there is no other place like Yosemite in the world. I have been around to a few places. No matter what your budget or your expectations please make every effort to get there you will not be dissapointed. And if you want to see how the other half lives make a stop at the Awhnee, it is the cream of the crop.
