Are there upscale clothing stores in the San Francisco Bay Area in CA?

Is power in San Francisco (CA) bay area houses 110v or 220v? (or something else...)?

  • Hi - I am going to travel to San Francisco (CA) and I´d like to avoid frying some electronic gear I have which are only 110V.

  • Answer:

Lynda is correct. If you plug your electronics into a regular (i.e., not for frig or dryer) domestic plug anywhere in the United States, you'll be receiving 110 volts.

I think the U.S has country-wide ristrictions with that kind of stuff, chances are it's 110v like everywhere else.

Logic

It is 220 volts single phase. It's split in the house. * Older houses did not have 220 volts unless they rewired. Most of all houses have 220 volts because some appliances demand that. We live in SF, too.
