I have taken Amtrak many times across the US since I was about 19. I truly believe it is the safest way to travel and the most comfortable. It's certainly 1,000 times better than the Greyhound buses. I have taken the greyhound bus and I will never do that again, now that is the scariest way to travel because there are a lot of smelly, scummy looking people who take the bus. The people on the train usually just keep to themselves and don't bother anybody. I mostly see older people and business people on Amtrak, and the staff does a good job of keeping track of everybody and making sure that everyone gets off where they're supposed to. So yes, the train is very safe compared to any other mode of travel.

im very sure shed be safe, i mean theres always the freak chance of some rapist happening to pick her out, but likewise theres always a freak chancce of the train derailing and the everyone ding or the freak chance that she might slip in a puddle while boarding the train and smacking her head on pavement and getting a brain hemorage and dying. im in pleasant hill and can drive her there in my van if you want.
