What things to do for the 4th of July?

What are some cool things to do on 4th of July in the bay area?

• I have a buddy visiting from the east coast and looking for somewhere to hang out on the 4th. I'm not too interested in massive crowds but rather just kicking back in a cool place, drinking a beer or two and possibly some fireworks. But...open to anything cool. Suggestions?

  I'm from the east coast and I really like to jsut hang out, go swimming, shop, movies, etc. There lots of places on the water where you guys can watch the fireworks. Maybe seafood ti make him feel kind of at home. I would suggest on the fourth, fireworks, and maybe a bbq if you know anyone having one. Make sure to go to fireworks and introduce him to your friends. For the whole trip, do what I said above and go sightseeing.
