Hidden mickeys? disneyland secrets?

What are some of the hidden things at disneyland we shouldn't know about?

  • I know about club 33 and the mickeys hidden on the rides. I know about Walt's private apartment above the fire house. But since my mom is taking me to Disneyland (I'm 14) I wanna find the hidden secrets no one is supposed to know about. Like I know in the pirates of the Caribbean there's a secret entrance that your allowed in but your not supposed to know about that takes you to like a special area. I WANT TO ALSO KNOW WHERE WALT'S HEAD IS AND HOW TO GET TO IT please. Thanks all.

  • Answer:

There is no secret entrance at Pirates. The exit is wheelchair accessible, so perhaps that's what you're thinking of, but it doesn't lead to any special area. Walt's head was attached to his body when he was cremated. His remains are in Forest Lawn Cemetary. No portion of Walt's anatomy is now nor never has been frozen and placed on Disney property. Do you know about the bullet hole in the Mansion ballroom? Some guest snuck a .22 into the park and shot at the duelists. The glass was too massive to replace so they disguised the hole with a spider web. Do you know about the Time Castle buried in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle for the 40th anniversary? Do you know where the homages are to former attractions? For example, Pooh has three busts from the Country Bear attraction hanging above and behind you, just after you leave the nightmare room. Star Tours had the Mighty Microscope from Adventures through Inner Space in its movie. Nemo Submarines have a rock-work mermaid and sea serpent, a nod to the former Submarine Voyage. Do you know where to find the mezuzah? It is a Jewish tradition to place a piece of the Torah in a small container on the front door jam. You can find it on the west side of Main Street on the door of Dr. Benjamin Silverstein. Did you know that you can see Club 33? Not just the balconies from the street, but you can also see it inside Pirates. As you float past the patio seating for the Blue Bayou, look above the restaurant and note the balcony. That balcony is also part of Club 33. Do you know about the crypt dated 1764 along the Rivers of America? It was to have tied in Pirates with the Mansion in a huge pirate-themed backstory, as well as given tunnel access to Tom Sawyer's Island with a pirate theme long before Pirates/Black Pearl was released.

Disneyland is hundreds of miles from San Francisco. Most of the things you mention are not secrets at all.
