What's San Francisco like?

Whats life like in san francisco bay area,,?

  • i trying to get in to CHP Academy within a year but i need a job in the mean time.... i will have a roommate so everything will be split in half my rent would be like $600,700 bucks,,,, i guess what i'm asking is whats out there as far as jobs that pay descent pay for someone to survive for a year or so... Thanks

    If you're trying to get into the CHP, wouldn't it make more sense to live in Sacramento? Far lower cost of living, and yes, there ARE fun things to do there. And if you get into the CHP, you're in for a short move across the river.

it's hard to say without knowing your skill level ... waiter to construction ... i would try bay area hot jobs dot com or career builders dot com and search there. good luck

Make sure you pay attention to the due dates to submit the CHP application b/c it takes time (unless you've already done that)... You would need to take a written exam, verbal, etc... Job searching is tough nowadays here in San Francisco. You either need to know someone, have a lot of experience or just be lucky. Try searching on Craigslist in the SF Bayarea for a job... I've gotten lucky there a couple of times! Goodluck.

Ohhh life in the bay area. I moved here 6 months ago. I will be moving out of here in 6 months! We are here temporarily for my fiance's job...I'm not sure if you're a male or female, but there are a lot of babysitting/nanny positions around here...which is what I do. I make okay money doing it. I applied for a second job at Safeway and they offered me $8 something/hour. I didn't take that. My rent is $1585/month for a 790 sq. ft. apartment. I would check on craigslist for jobs!
