Is it expensive to live in Newport, OR?

What is Irvine california like to live in it was voted best place to live along with newport,where is San?

    Irvine is a very boring place to live if you're 18-35. It is a good and safe place for families, but other than that, it is very... suburbish (houses don't face toward the streets, the streets are wide, the vegetation is nice, it's hard to find a gas station, all the apartments are owned by the Irvine Company so rent is ridiculously high, things close at 9pm). Newport Beach is a fun place to live if you're 18-35, but I wouldn't settle down there. The weather is absolutely amazing, but you do get a lot of tourists in the summer. It's quite an expensive place to live and most of the housing is either a mansion or some crappy bungalow. There are a lot of places to go out, the beach is always nice. San Francisco is a typical urban city where you don't need a car, and you can go out pretty much any time during the day/night. You get major diversity in SF and the art scene is amazing. The weather isn't as good as it is in Irvine/Newport.

Southern California [Irvine and Newport Beach] is very different than San Francisco. They are worlds apart in terms of weather, culture and state of mind. Orange County is conservative and spread out. San Francisco is compact, doesn't get the high heats that the LA area does, and is liberal.
