Where would be good/great areas to photograph in San Diego?

  • I am looking to take really good pictures of San Diego and wondering if some of you know where i could go for this. Tell me places where you think only you know about and how to get there. Tell of the places where people go a lot also. I would really appreciate the help of you guys/girls. Thank you for your help

    I'd say Balboa park. I've seen pictures of it and there are lots of flowers everywhere. And also airplanes fly over your head less than 100 ft, it's very rare at other airports. The dock can also be nice, there are constantly large ships parked at the dock. And there are 3 aircraft carriers, all decommissioned though. If you go south past the Colorado Bridge it's the naval base and there are countless ships you can photograph. San Diego is America's Military City. Jerry C.

You can get some great pictures of the coast. My favorite area for this is around La Jolla Cove. The cliffs add to the beauty. If you go at sunset you might catch the sun's rays bouncing off the cliffs as the sun sets. There are lots of places in Balboa Park where you can get some wonderful pictures. My favorite area here is the places around Prado Restaurant. Sunset is another good time to catch some great lighting. Stroll around the area...there's a pond, fountain, gorgeous architecture. Cabrillo National Monument in the Pt. Loma area has some beautiful scenery for pictures. There's also a light house that's cool there. My daughter has taken lots of pictures in San Diego that you can see at http://www.sandiego-romantics.com.

The boathouse..then when you are done taking pictures you can have a great meal.

The Estrada is nice, walking along the pier. Balboa Park, the Lighthouse District, the beaches and the cliffs...there's too much in SD!!!
