How money do i need to move from witchita ks to san diego?

  • i want to know how much money will i need to move to san Diego and go to college and have rightful life right now i am in Wichita ks please, help

  • Answer:

I'm originally from Huntington Beach, but I lived in San Diego last year and for me the rent was fairly cheap compared to what it is out here in Huntington. I rented out a condo in downtown San Diego for $2,000 a month, not including utilities and the underground parking fees. You're going to spend a hefty amount of money in getting your items shipped over here for starters, and in San Diego you get what you pay for, the higher amount in rent you pay, the better and safer the housing and community you will find...In most cases, that is. If I were you, be prepared to throw down at least 7,000 or 10,000 to be on the safe side and that includes your travel expenses and first and last months rent. You can always go the cheaper route and get a roommate. Now if you're throwing college in the mix, out of state tuition is expensive, especially if you want to go to SDSU or another major university. If I were you I would at least wait a year so that you can establish residency so that your tuition costs will go down. Trust me, in state tuition is so much better and SDSU has really good in state tuition, at least I think so. Take a year to get settled here, see if you like it and then go from there. Just take it one step at a time and save save save!!!! Good luck! :-)

I recently moved from North Carolina to San Diego and with the moving truck, hotel stays and food it cost around $7000. So really depends on what size truck you will need to move your stuff and what kind of hotels you are staying in along the way and where you eat. Not to mention gasing up the moving truck which cost us around $2000 to fill that truck up along the way. It was a 26 foot truck though and gas prices are lower now then they were back in October. Good Luck with your move.

I live in San Diego and it is pretty expensive. If you are planning to rent an apartment, most run about $1000 a month (for a decent one-bedroom). Def.try to find a job before coming out here. It also depends where in San Diego you plan to live. North County and places near the beach tend to be more expensive. Where will you be going to school?
