Where is a nice tropical place to live and go to school?

What is the best place to live if I work in/near San Diego and go to grad school at UC Irvine (evening mba)?

  • I'm looking to live somewhere nice where the commute/traffic is minimal. I want to make sure I will be able to get to class, group sessions etc. on time. I'd prefer to live alone if that helps, thanks for the advice!

  • Answer:

there is no such thing as no traffic in SD/OC. It also depends where you work. North county is sopmewhat less expensive, but if you have to drive down south then go all the way up to newport beach, that's annoying. Live really close to either work or school and you have less back-and-forth. Irvine is one of the safest cities in the country. if you dont mind living closer to the 5, try the Las Palmas apartments. you can get a 3rd floor 1 br for $1600/mo. Theyre right by the marketplace at jamboree and bryan, so all you have to do is drive west, and theyre really close to the 5 for when you need to go to SD

Unfortunately, right in the middle of those two places would be Camp Pendleton. To the north of that is San Clemente in Orange County and to the south is Oceanside in San Diego County. San Clemente would be nicer, but more expensive.

Paul in San Diego

Scripps Ranch is really nice you can get right on the 15 all the freeway are right at your finger tips. Many stores are around there but trust me you will be paying for that zip code. But even Mira Mesa PQ is really nice

Wow, that's going to be a heck of a commute in both directions. Maybe Oceanside. You could take the Metrolink to Irvine and the Coaster to San Diego.

Azzz doggg

If you're to school at UC Irvine, you do not want to live in SD.
