Best shuttle service from LAX to San Diego?

  • Hello yahooligans, I am looking for a good shuttle service from LAX airport to a San Diego suburban home. The pickup should happen from airport terminal. Kindly let me know if you know or used such service. Thanks for any info. - SanDiegoTraveller

    There are no shuttle buses that go from LAX to San Diego. Here are your options. 1) Rent a car from LAX and drive to San Diego 2) Take the Flyway Bus from LAX to Union Station downtown and take Amtrak Surfliner to San Diego (Santa Fe Depot) and take a taxi home. http://www.socalthemeparks.com/la-county-area-transit.php 3) Take the Flyway bus from LAX to Union Station downtown and take the Metrolink to Oceanside and change to the Coaster Train to San Diego. 4) Take the Flyway to downtown and take the Greyhound bus to San Diego downtown. 5) Fly from LAX to San Diego airport No.2 is your best option.

No shuttle service due to distance, 118 miles. A good option is to take the Flyaway Bus to Union Station in Downtown LA for $6 and then an Amtrak Pacific Surfliner train to San Diego for about $25. Other cheaper options would be an MTA #439 bus from the LAX city bus center to Union Station for $1.75 then a Metrolink Commuter train to Oceanside for about $10 then a Coaster train from Oceanside into Downtown San Diego for $5 Good Luck!
