What is San Diego State University's population?

What kind of city is San Diego, CA?

  • I am looking for a new job and have somehow started to browse through listings in San Diego. I've really only seen San Diego from a tourist vantage, so I was wondering if San Diego would be a good place for me. What's San Diego like as far as creativity? The arts, music, performance, literary scene? Where are good places to live for the young & social? Is there cultural diversity in San Diego and is it easy to get around downtown areas (Downtown, Balboa Park, North Park ect) on a bike? Is there a population of people who subscribe to a more bohemian or alternative culture or lifestyle? What is the current state of education in San Diego? If you had a choice would you choose living in San Diego, San Francisco or New York City? Thanks for answering these survey type questions and assisting a prospective Diegan =)

i went to san diego over the summer, wasnt really that impressed, didnt seem like much was going on in the city, the outskirts seemed nicer then the downtown areas. I thought San Francisco was a lot more lively. If money is an issue then i think u would have to choose San Diego as San Fran and New York are a lot more expensive. However being from an area that has 4 distinct seasons, one time of weather all year around would probably drive me nuts

yes - it's easy to get around Downtown / North Park / Hillcrest / South Park / Golden Hill on a bike and many people do. lots of creativity in those areas ! also check out Old Town Little Italy Barrio Logan (yes, indeed) Ocean Beach Bankers Hill people who have lived in San Francisco LOVE to put down San Diego. but I think it's apples to oranges, they are two Very different cities
