Do SDSU students live along El Cajon Blvd.?
-
I am an international MBA student, debating on where to live. I understand the living situation near college is rather poor. I'm wondering how that effects the living radius for SDSU students. Additionally, since there is a bus route that goes along El Cajon Blvd. and directly to a SDSU entrance I would have to assume that a fair amount of college students live on El Cajon Blvd. From what you have experienced, is this assumption correct? I would rather live with people than without, for the sake of affordability. So I would like to be in a student dense environment. Please let me know if I can find this outside of the main living environments of SDSU and specifically verify those of the El Cajon Blvd. Thanks in advance for your answer.

Answer:
There are tons of students who live on that street because it is right next to the school, but I would not recommend living there at all. It can be considred safe since it is a college area, but nontheless it is not a very nice neighborhood. If you are looking for a place near campus that would be a little bit safer, there are tons of apartments near campus (just a parking lot away) that are studios. Meaning its just one bed room, a kitchen, and a bathroom. Perfect for you if you want to live alone. I cant remember the name of that complex right now but If i remember when I get home I will call my friend who lives there and find out for you and edit this question. And dont forget you dont have to live on campus. There is a very nice neighborhood right next to SDSU if you just cross the bridge over the free way. And if you get on the freeway La Mesa is to the east and mission valley is to the west that both have decent living conditions.

People do live in the area but its REALLY not nice at all. I would not reccomend any one live there, especially an international student. That would give you such a poor view of San Diego
