    If you are really just interested in watching the planes fly for a bit II would attend on Friday to watch them. You get to watch exactly the same thing as you would if you attended the event, however Sea Port village is completely empty. You can get front row seats and watch the time trials...it's a lot of fun but honestly after about the 5th plane you have seen it all.

no where really. You could try standing on the street but you won't see much; only when the planes go high.

I work on Harbor Island and had no problem seeing the planes there, if you don't mind not following the race but just want to see the planes fly you could go there.
