What Beach near Sea World is the best for kids!?

We will be in San Diego for a Chargers preseason game and a visit to Sea World. Normally we would go to Mission Beach. Is there a beach close by that is better than Mission? We don't like to spend a lot of time searching so I am hoping that we can find a beach to visit before leaving!

If you head over to Coronado, the beaches over there are much better and more family-oriented than Mission Beach. Coronado is usually rated one of the top ten beaches in the U.S. and the parking is easier than Mission Beach too!

My favorite family beaches in San Diego are Torrey Pines in La Jolla and Coronado on the island. Coronado is an upscale community. You can rent bikes and surreys at the beach and ride along the coastline. Torrey Pines is next to the Torrey Pines Reserve where you can enjoy hiking some of the coastal trails.
