Expedited Shipping?

How long will it take to ship something from Santa Clarita to Chula Vista with Expedited Shipping?

• Well I ordered a dress from amazon with expedited shipping for my girlfriend on Monday (yesterday) and it was just shipped today. Right now in the tracking status it says "Santa Clarita CA Departure Scan - May 04, 2010 7:29:00 PM" And Santa Clarita is about 3 hours away from Chula Vista, so I want to know how long it will take for it to get here because the dress is needed before Saturday and when I look at the order it says "Estimated Arrival: May 10, 2010" which doesn't seem right since it could get here in less than half a days time. Just want to know If it would really come that day or sooner because of the expedited shipping which I really hope it does.

  "Departure Scan" does NOT actually mean the package was shipped, just that a pickup request was entered into the system by Amazon. Once the package is actually tendered to the carrier for shipment it will arrive the next day. The May 10 date is probably correct.
