Answer:
I live in San Diego, although im 24, i take my lil bro out to different things around here...here are a few.. Snorkeling is famous in La Jolla Cove because its beautiful with the tide pools and seals! If you dont have snorkeling gear no worries we rent em here http://www.sandiegobikeandkayaktours.com/beach_rentals.html you get everything for about $20! if your in San Diego, stay in San Diego...Disneyland is a lnngg drive if your not familiar!! The Zoo is great and the Wild Animal Park is AMAZING...twice the size of the zoo! Take a Seal Tour...crazy looking vehicles that are on land and go in water...they tour you through downtown Sd and then jump into the beaches for some more tours, theyll show you seals on the beaches and maybe dolphins (we saw em when we went)! http://www.sealtours.com/index.asp theres tons of concerts coming in the next few weeks like at the cricket wireless amphitheater at the end of the month!!!!! look it up! shopping at Fashion Valley is AMAZING! DONT GO TO TIJUANA!! Walk all the beaches you can, cuz its just amazing! Id say check out the gaslamp district but its no fun when your not 21! Have fun, and be careful around downtown at night!

People always recommend the zoo and not the Wild Animal Park! Why is that? Anyway, it's very cool too and it's technically part of the zoo, just a different location. You can do the zoo and the park in the same day. Balboa park if you like historical sites, museums, and the zoo is here. Old Town is another historical site, and some say it's haunted (could be fun if you're into spooky stuff). Also excellent spot for Mexican food. Star of India and the USS Midway if you're into ships and nautical stuff. Coronado and La Jolla have the best beaches (cleanest, safest). Belmont Park is an amusement park on the beach, but it's not in the safest area so go with adults. Speaking of which, stay away from Pacific Beach. If it looks interesting to you, just come back when you're 21. ;D Also... Disneyland is really just an hour and half drive north of San Diego. If you haven't been, I really must say you can't leave California without going to Disneyland. Have fun and welcome to San Diego!!

The major attractions that tourist visit while in San Diego are the zoo, Wild Animal Park, and Sea World. There's also the museums/gardens of Balboa Park. And, of course, the beaches. It's also fun to do some outdoor activities while here. I'd suggest kayaking either through the caves in La Jolla or at Mission Bay. You can rent jet skis in Mission Bay, take surfing lessons, or go boogie boarding on the beach. There's parasailing, hang gliding, and hot air balloons. Be sure to find a fire pit and roast marshmallows on the beach. You will need to bring your own supplies. For shopping you'll find interesting shops in Old Town, the Gaslamp Quarter, and the Hillcrest area has lots of consignment and vintage clothing stores. There's also lots of good restaurants in Hillcrest. You'll find outdoor malls with the typical stores you always find in malls as well as outlet shopping centers. It's fun to eat at Corvette Diner. Its a 50s style place with wacky servers and a wide selection of food...reasonably priced. If you love desserts, you won't want to miss Extraordinary Desserts. They make fabulous desserts. Take your camera as they look wonderful as well! They are open until midnight on most nights.

Here are some San Diego attractions; San Diego Zoo; SeaWorld; Old Town San Diego State Historic Park or Balboa Park Visiting Center.
Well... I was going to say Sea World, but you already know that one... so I'll say the San Diego Zoo. I think Universal Studios has a theme park there.
