What are the top high schools in Chula Vista?

How much time should I expect to be in traffic between Chula Vista to Los Angeles Chinatown on a Monday AM?

• On the morning of Monday, Dec 11, I will be in Chula Vista and will need to make it to Chinatown Los Angeles and back. I'm not familiar with the timing of rush hour traffic as I don't live near. It seems like rush hour lasts 20 hours a day. Thought of leaving at 6 or 7am (flexible). Need an hour or two at destination. I need to make it back to Chula Vista by 3pm.   I would probably leave about 5am, at worst case this will get you to LA by about 10am. You will hit traffic most of the way up to LA. Hopefully it won't take the entire 5 hours but if you have to be back by 3pm it is safest to leave early. If you leave there by about noon you should be able to get back by 3pm. Once you are out of LA the Mid-Day traffic comming back to San Diego is not bad at all. From San Diego to LA I-5 is the most direct way up. Once in LA you will probably want to switch over to the 101 to head to downtown. As an alternative you can take I-5 to I-405 and then take 110 up into Downtown LA. Distance wise this way is a bit longer but if there is a major problem on I-5 this may be faster. I would listen to some traffic reports to see what may be going on. Also, for the toll roads the only toll road that would help you is if you took the I-5 to I-405 to 110 route. There is a Toll road called CA73 that starts just south of Mission Viejo, this will take you from I-5 to I-405 cutting off several miles and some traffic, when it joins up with the I-405 again you just keep going until 110. During the rush hour it is $4.75 for a regular car. If you are traveling with someone be sure to take advantage of the Carpool lanes.
