Are there any medically related Portuguese interpreter jobs in San Diego County?
-
I speak Portuguese and would like to be an interpreter for a hospital, clinic, or any medical institution that would require such a position. My desire is to mediate communication between Portuguese speaking patients and their physicians. If you know of anything like this available in the San Diego County area please let me know. I know Portuguese and Spanish are very similar, but my Spanish is only moderately conversational. Maybe with practice I'd be able to interpret in Spanish, but I would like to begin with Portuguese. Muito obrigado!!

Answer:
There is not a particularly large Portuguese contingent in San Diego County. Los Angeles might be a better bet, owing to its larger cultural diversity.
