Amvets In san Diego is the best thrift store that there ever will be. It's right off the Washington St. Trolley stop

point loma has two good ones. goodwill and salvation army. my family's bought some great furniture from salvation army. it also has about 1/2 the store called the boutique that has clothes, shoes, accesories, and antiques. goodwill has a big selection of clothes, etc.

Sorry, not much of a shopper... Good luck.

Agree that Amvets is the best in San Diego city. Most are too picked over. There are better thrifts in El Cajon, Chula Vista, and Oceanside. Also, every "chain" of thrifts, except, I think, Barras, has wholesale auctions 4-7 days per week.
