What are the locations for the Koreantown, Chinatown or Japantown for San Diego, CA?

There are no specific areas of San Diego like a Koreatown or Chinatown. You just have to look up specific stores in the phone book and you'll find them all over San Diego. However, one of the more popular places for Asians in general in San Diego is the Mira Mesa area. You can also find a number of places like 99 Ranch market and various Asian stores at a strip mall in Kearney Mesa at 7330 Clairemont Mesa Blvd. And, if you don't mind driving about an hour, there is Little Saigon up in the city of Westminster in Orange County (north on the I-5 to the 405).

Unfortunately, San Diego does not have a Korean, Chinese, or Japanese town. We do, however, have one area of El Cajon Blvd. which has many Vietnamese, Chinese, Laosian? stores. But that is basically the only place where you can find the asian stores at. There is also an Oriental Market near there as well. We also have Clairemont and Convoy that are full of Asians (a lot of Thai and Korean restaurants), markets, and stores. But none of these places are really located in touristy areas. These areas aren't really nice and/or clean. Hope this helped!
