How do I fill out a form for partial unemployment?

Now that you're this far, you're probably thinking: "How stupid could this guy be?" Here's bad news: It's n-o-t that easy. When I use the texas workforce comission website, they provide the unemployment application that insinuates I've been fired from my job. I haven't been fired from my job. I need partial unemployment, the corporation has stated that they won't fight it, but TWC at 256-3000 keep telling me to call TWC at 258-6600, and 258-6600 has a constant message about "we're sorry, but we're not available at this time." I keep calling. Is reaching these people like winning the lottery? Ok. Easy five star best answer if you can just direct me to the exact link for "PARTIAL" unemployment. I don't want to fill out a form saying I'm fired when I still work.

Okay here it is. The calling centers in Amarillo,El Paso,Houston,and Corpus were all closed. ALL incoming calls for those cities are channelled thru San Antonio. And on top of that there's less than a dozen operators manning incoming calls here. So guess what? Some might get thru some may not.

Well, it's still not a travel question. Might get more answers if you put it in the appropriate section. Or go to the TWC [whatever that is] website. How can you apply/qualify for unemployment if you have a job, anyway??

Dear Mom, You CAN file for partial unemployment in Texas under certain conditions. To the questioner: The TWC is SWAMPED. Your best bet might be to go to the office in question and take a number. Seriously. Good luck!
