When does Sea World open and when does it close?

ASAP! Sea World San Antonio Question/Shamu-Up Close Question!!!!?

  • I'm going to Sea world again in my vacation in San Antonio. I was there today talking to someone about a shamu-Up Close tour. And I was seeing what exactly they do. This girl at the park who works there said that we get to swim with them and all that, Then again i doubt she could understand me.... Anyway could anyone give me more info on the Shamu-Up-Close-Tours.Yes the one that cost $50. Please. Thanks.

    I don't believe they let you swim with Shamu.He (or she) is after all a killer whale. You can swim with the sea lions and beluga whale. The 50.00 tour price does not include admission to seaworld-that's separate and could run you another 40-60 usd. On the plus side they food is included. Some of the interactive (swim with he animals) tours are more then 50.00. If you are have those funds to spare in this economy I'd say it’s totally worth it.

You can't swim with Shamu. He/she will eat you. From the Sea World San Antonio website: "Go backstage at Shamu Theater and learn about killer whales and the secrets of animal training. Guests also enjoy a Backstage Picnic at Shamu Theater, view the "Believe" show from reserved seating and to top it all off, a special SeaWorld tote bag and a family/group photo for each guest." Sounds like you just get to go backstage and the trailers tell you about Shamu and how they train the whales. You can swim with the Sea Lions on another backstage tour. I've seen people do those in an area behind the stadium. You can do tricks with the sea lions and you can hold on to their flippers and they'll pull you around the pool. That one sounds cooler.
