Don't forget "Splashtown Water Park" right off I-35 near downtown,,,,and Dave and Busters,,,a huge archade and entertainment place right by Target at I-10 and Loop 410. And on Broadway just north of town is the zoo, and Botanical Gardens, and Brackenridge park and the Witte Museum. And, of course, right down town is the boat rides, and a big selection of entertainment complexes near the Alamo near the Rivercenter Mall (which is a must). The best thing to do is in most Hotels or Motels, they have a big rack of brochures with hundreds of adventures and "tourist traps" ,,,check those out first and plan your stay. Actually there are 315 attractions within 10 miles downtown....that will surly keep you busy for 2 weeks, Enjoy!!!

You could also go to Schlitterbahn's waterparks. There are 3 different ones so that should keep you occupied, but I suggest you buy the tickets and visit them all in the same day. Definitely ride the Dragon's Revenge or Master Blaster first because as the day goes on the lines will be horribly long. You could also go to the zoo, go to the Ripley's Believe It Or Not, visit the Alamo, watch a movie at the Santikos Palladium IMAX theater, and walk through the Riverwalk and River center mall.

you can drive for about an hour out to the wild life ranch/cave. you can go to the river walk. There are a lot of things to do at the river walk. Example: hard rock cafe / rainforest cafe / joe's crab shack / ripley's believe it or not, ripley's haunted adventure... those were all good. All the good stuff is on the river walk. Also, if nothing sounds good, go to a motel/hotel and get a brochure. Actually, you can go to a place across from the alamo that called something like tourist info and buy these cards for like $50-75 and pick a package you want. A package as in; you purchase the cards and you pick a grouping of sites to go to such as the cave, ripley's believe it or not, the alamo, the imax, buckhorn museum and saloon,... and you get in for free. Try doing that. It eventually pays for itself. But it is right across from the alamo if you are interested.
Historical wise There is the old Spanish governor's residence in downtown Alamo 4 old Spanish missions Buckhorn Museum and Saloon
