I love living here. It's true that it get's really hot though. We use air conditioners 24/7. My a/c is on now as i type!I think we get at the most {my estimate, now} 45 day's of real cold weather. There is Brackenridge park,Olmos park,Hemisfair park where water fountains abound and there is a "space needle" there.but it's the hemisfair tower. it's 750 ft and has a cafe/retaur. at the top that revolves. with a 4-d theatre at the bottom. We have many more parks too. The riverwalk will have it's water dyed green for st. patricks day and Fiesta is just around the corner....it's an 11 day city party! {There's the st.marys university oyster bake,A nighht in old san antonio called niosa for short, a taste of new orleans, there's the carnival, there's 3 parades that week one at night that is lighted up and in the riverwalk, where during Halloween theres a coffins on parade in there too.} Theres also natural bridge caverns near-by. 150 miles away is Laredo,Tx the gateway to Mexico and great bargains....BUT I wouldnt go there just yet!!! They are having a little too much drama, but I think it'll go away soon.We have old missions to see along with the alamo, We have about 5 or 6 mall's I think, maybe more. Theres Southtown , http://southtown.net/ And here are some web sites to look at.....I hope theres not too many, I just want you to see how it could be interesting to live here! Or vacation here!!! The japanese tea gardens are nice, so is the san antonio botanical garden.Sorry if I went overboard, I just wanted to write down quite a few choice's.

Isabel, I live in S.A. Just be warned, it is already 80 degrees here daily. And word to the wise, once you have seen the Alamo and walked down the Riverwalk and maybe done the River tour there isn't much else to see. Do visit the Hemisphere tower, do walk through the Alamo and read the history. Don't give the beggers downtown any money. Do take photos in front of the Alamo. If you are staying in a hotel down by the river, keep your car parked and walk..parking is unreal. Try a different restaurant every night you are here. Have a great time!

The Riverwalk is the place to go for walking/dining/shopping. Also shop at the Quarry. Naturally you might want to see The Alamo. They also have an IMAX near there.

San Antonio is wonderful: Riverwalk, Market downtown, Sea World, the Alamo. There is a lot to see and do.

Partly cloudy, with a high near 81. South southwest wind 10 to 15 mph becoming east southeast. Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 61. East wind around 10 mph. Thursday: Partly cloudy, with a high near 82. Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 58. Friday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 75. San Antonio is lame, sorry. It's already pretty warm here, and they people in general here are not very educated. I would have found somewhere better to visit on vacation.

And if all that above that is making your head swarm, slow down and just do the top 10 things people do here because lucky you...you are coming after all the rain is over. Here's our weather: Our Weather: Thursday March 15 84° F | 58° F Partly Cloudy Friday March 16 71° F | 47° F Partly Cloudy Saturday March 17 72° F | 55° F Partly Cloudy And here's the top 10: 1. The River Walk - Downtown 2. The Alamo - Downtown 3. The San Antonio Missions National Historical Park 4. The McNay Art Museum - Alamo Heights area 5. The San Fernando Cathedral - Downtown 6. La Villita National Historic District where this weekend on March 17 they are going to dye the river green and there will be two bands! See link below (Downtown by the way) 7. San Antonio Sea World on the Northwest side of town from downtown just follow I35 to Hwy 90 to the right and just keep going until you see the Sea World signs. 8. San Antonio botanical Garden (Mahnkee Park Area not far from Alamo Heights area) 9. Brackenridge Park where there is the San Antonio Zoo and Witte Museum (our science and history version). Near Mahnkee and Alamo Heights 10. King William Historic District and Blue Star Arts to eat, drink and see some great san antonio contemporary art in Southtown, just south of Downtown on Alamo and S.
