Fishing Locations in San Antonio?

I am moving to San Antonio and wanted to see if anyone knew any good neighborhoods and locations.?

  • I am moving to San Antonio in a few months and was wondering if anyone could give me advice on which neighborhoods and areas are better to live in.

  • Answer:

If you're looking for apartments, the ones near the medical center are affordable and nice. They're off I-10.

I used to live in Breckenridge Park (off Bandera) it was a nice gated community with great schools.

I lived in San Antonio for 13 years.. VERY hot there... lol I kinda miss it though.. I've been gone for little over a year now... but shop around when it comes to apartments and neighborhoods... I lived one street down from Fredricksburg... the Apartments are nice affordable least at the time I lived there.. I was there for 3 years so I'm not really sure the price range now for a one bed room.... I had a three bedroom and at the time I was only paying 642.. CHEAP but the value was awesome the bedrooms where HUGH and washer and dryer hook up everything... the apartments where called Sundance... The Medical Center area... little high end but very nice... Look in the Northwest areas... Known streets are Blanco... I-10 (right off that freeway) Callaghan... the Ingram area is really nice too... listen keep in touch if you want and I'll let you in on places to go or look around to live or any other question... Blessings to you....

What are you looking for? Apartments or Homes? Stay on the Northside of San Antonio. Bandera is as far west as I would go and I35 is as far east as I would go. Alamo Heights is very nice but a little more pricy and the location is closer to downtown, still considered Northside. Sonterra is also very nice, more of the new rich live in this area. I live off Jones Maltsberger and Thousand Oaks. It's more upper middle to middle class and pretty quiet. I live near the airport, a beautiful 250 acre park with trails for walking and biking, and I am part of the Spectrum Fitness Center. The schools are close by. Homes range between $800 and $2000 a month depending on the location, size and age. Apartments between $400 and $1500. Again, size, age, location. Good luck and welcome to our beautiful city.

I have to tell you, your job location should be one of the biggest deciding factors. The rush hour traffic time can be horrific. Try and live near were you may be working. There are nice places all over the area, but I would deffinatley avoid the southeast part of the city )(unless you go a little further out towards "Floresville). That's a groing area, and it's beautiful down that way.
