The best school's in New York for cosmetology?

Cosmetology Schools in SA?

• I'm probably moving to SA soon and will be taking a semester off of university to figure out a better place to transfer to. Cosmetology school has always been on the backburner, but after a ton of research and thought I'm considering attending one of the local schools. It's nearly impossible to find student reviews for these schools as they aren't 4-year colleges, and besides looking at the opinions of customers from the student salon and tracking down a few alumni, I can't gauge these schools well, and being from another state doesn't help. To people not in the cosmetology industry: What are the reputations of the beauty schools around you? I won't suggest anything positive or negative I've read, just curious which ones pop to mind first, what friends who've attended had to say, or how your experience or impression of those places are. To people taking classes at one of the institutes or who work in the salon industry: What do you think makes a certain salon stand out over another, what is the most important thing to look for, is there stigma attached to a specific school, and is graduating from a particular school sort of a shoo-in for better or higher-paying jobs?
