Can you transfer from a CSU to another CSU?

Can I transfer from CSU Sacramento to UCLA?

  • I know the route of going to a community college and then transferring is better but I already attend CSU Sacramento. Can I transfer from the CSU to a UC

  • Answer:

Yes, you can, but UCLA would have to accept you as a student. It's not a right to transfer.

Their website might help you make the transition from CSU to UCLA. http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/Adm_tr/tradms.htm As it's been mentioned, you would still need to apply. This page describes that process: http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/applying.htm "Who is a junior-level transfer student? * You are a transfer student if you graduated from high school and enrolled in a regular session at any college or university since your high school graduation. You cannot disregard your college record and apply as a freshman. * To be considered junior level you must have completed 60-86 semester units or 90-129 quarter units by the time you enter UCLA

Yes, if your credits are accepted at UC and if you can even get in to that campus. They prefer non-state students who pay full tuition compared to in-state who don't.
