Secluded camping near Portland?

I'm looking for some trails and camping sites located in Portland Oregon or sorta close to Portland?

  • So me and some buds are trying to go hiking and camping a lot this summer but i don't really know where any camping and hiking trails/sites are in Portland area so if you just give me some places to look up or a good web site to go to it would be great and one more thing are there any places that you can like hike all day then camp at night and then repeat? Thank you!

    You need to define "close" to Portland. There are lots of trails in the Columbia Gorge, maybe a 30-45 minute drive away. Tons on Mount Hood, which is maybe an hour away. The Oregon Coast Range has trails. Banks to Vernonia Rails-to-Trails. Even the Springwater Corridor from Milwaukie to Gresham. do a google search for "hiking in Portland, Oregon" and you will come up with some. Same with camping.

I don't camp around Portland. I go to get away from the city, but the site below has information on camping.

There isn't really any camping in the "Portland area"...it's a city. You can go to the Colombia gorge for amazing day hikes, though. It's really pretty up there.
