Can I transfer into Portland State University with a 2.94 college GPA (4.0 scale)?

What are roughly my chances? I also have a good work history and won't have a problem writing a great admissions essay and getting references. Should I just try to find some random class I could take at some community college to raise my GPA over a 3.0? I'm so close.....!

Answer:
If your GPA is from a no-name unaccredited college probably not but if it is from an accredited college your chances are fairly reasonable like your GPA.
